WHAT IS WNC EnergyCAP?

The WNC Energy Cost-share Assistance Program (energyCAP) aims to support and empower Western North Carolina farmers and small businesses by providing free guidance for cost-share grants that pay for renewable energy systems and energy efficiency improvements. The U.S. energy landscape is changing rapidly, and WNC energyCAP's goal is to help busy farmers and small business owners navigate that space to make good energy decisions that will help their bottom line and create a more robust and resilient local economy and regional energy system.

WNC energyCAP is a nonprofit partnership project between four Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Councils whose territory covers Western North Carolina: Blue Ridge RC&D, Carolina Land and Lakes RC&D, Mountain Valleys RC&D, and Southwestern RC&D. Our level of assistance available outside of this territory is limited, but we're happy to answer your call!
